From April 28
to May 1, 2005, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre was
packed with a stunning array of high quality giftware as the reputed
Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair 2005 marked its 20th anniversary.
Dating back
to the time when Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair was organized
as a combined show with the Hong Kong Houseware Fair, this large-scale
trade event was highly recognized by worldwide buyers for its wide
variety of choices at excellent quality and value pricing. Today,
the fair has become the number one show of its kind in Asia and
the world's third largest.
Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair 2005 set another record with
over 3,500 exhibitors from 34 countries and regions in attendance.
There were also 15 pavilions representing the Hong Kong Exporters'
Association, Australia, Chinese mainland, Germany, India, Indonesia,
Italy, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand
and United Kingdom. The fair featured a wide spectrum of gift items
ranging from jewellery, watches & clocks, stationery, party
& X'mas decorations, etc.
The Silverware
Section has returned in an expanded scale with around 40 exhibitors
from Hong Kong and Spain, which gathered a vast array of silver
products ranging from photo frames and albums, candle holders, key
chains, jewellery boxes, card holders, stationery, tableware, figurines
and miniatures, bookmarks, tabletop accessories, cocktail sets to
a variety of ornaments and gift items.
The Hall of
Fine Designs displayed exclusive, high-end gifts and premium ideas
from 50 leading designers and companies. With today's market demanding
ever-higher quality and more innovative products, the elegant enclave,
located in Hall 1C, was once again a focal point of attention.
Apart from the
multifarious array of products on offer, the Trade Development Council
has also organized value-added seminars and special events, including
seminars on 'Successful Receivables Management for SMEs', 'Implementation
of Corporate Social Responsibility for Organisation' and 'How to
Get Assistance from Hong Kong Customs to Combat Counterfeiting'.
