The time for
digital revolution has come. This year at the International CES,
over thousands of innovative products showered the show floor while
announcements of new technology were abundant. As consumer electronic
industry is going digital in a fast speed, many of these technology
advancements have brought consumers unprecedented control over when,
where and how they watch films, listen to music, view their digital
photos and access other information, education and entertainment
content.
International
CES 2005 ran in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from January 6 to 9. Reputed
as the world's greatest technology showcase, the fair acted as a
perfect venue to find out the hottest trend in audio, accessories,
home networking, mobile electronics, video and wireless products.
More than 140,000 attendees from 115 countries visited International
CES 2005, featuring over 2,500 exhibitors. President and CEO of
the Consumer Electronics Association as well as the producer of
the International CES, Mr. Gary Shapiro, noted that the 2005 International
CES succeeded by every measure. 'From the international audience,
major media and top buyers that came to the International CES, to
the top-notch keynotes and conferences, government leaders and exhibitors
showcasing the amazing breadth and depth of the CE industry, this
event truly was the place to be over the past week for anyone involved
in the global consumer technology industry.'
High definition
television (HDTV) has seized the attention of many visitors. In
addition to thinner and wider designs, the fair also demonstrated
a variety of products built upon HDTV, such as wired and wireless
connections to stream HD video throughout the home and new HD recording
devices.
2005 International
CES has included more than 350 conference sessions. The fair kicked
off with a keynote from Microsoft's Chairman and Chief Software
Architect Bill Gates. Other keynote presenters included Intel Corporation
CEO Craig Barrett; Ron Garriques, president personal devices business
and executive vice president, Motorola, Inc.; Carly Fiorina, H-P
chairman and CEO; and Rich Templeton, president and CEO, Texas Instruments.
The 2006 International
CES will be held January 5-8, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
